My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pablo was a neighborhood stray for days in December 2014, abandoned, matted and frightened. At last a concerned person was able to catch him and take him to her friend who is a groomer. He is all shaved down now, so it will be a while before we will know his true appearance. The curliness in his fur suggests poodle (and he doesn't seem to shed) but those ears could even be Papillon. Pablo is only 6 lbs. and probably no more than a year old. He has lovely eyes which often seem green.

Lucky Pablo...his groomer took such a liking to him that she decided to work with him and foster him through adoption. Pablo was fearful of everything and everyone, but after only a month of TLC he has made great strides in confidence. He is still a bit shy with people, less so with women and children than men, but did well at his first adoption event. He likes other dogs and was happy to meet a few new friends. At his foster home, he has become accustomed to 3 larger dogs and now naps on the couch with them and his foster mom. He doesn't seem inclined to bother cats.

Pablo's foster mom notes that Pablo is a work in progress. He will sleep in a crate at night, but is not completely house-trained and currently wears a belly wrap in the house. He is still like a pup, active and playful. He loves his toys and also loves chewing anything else he can get hold of. He is good walking on leash and riding in the car, but should be kept on leash when out of the yard until he masters the concept of come back .

Pablo requires an understanding guardian, as he needs continuing work on gaining trust and a feeling of security. He has not yet graduated to learning commands. He is very sweet and will make the right person a loving companion. His groomer foster mom has offered grooming services for him at great discount following adoption. She will be happy to answer any questions about Pablo.
