Mr. Belvedere's Story...
Meet Mr. Belvedere! This oldie but goody is looking for a retirement home. Mr. B came to ACL as a stray but was never claimed by his owners. At 7 years old, he;s an older dog who would do best in a quieter household. He is still up for a nice walk, but he also enjoys his naps! Mr. B has the sweetest heart, and he has plenty of good years left. He's comfortable with other dogs of his size and temperament, and he would be good with older children. He's a bit too long in the tooth for young kids! Come give this distinguished gentleman a chance!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mr. Belvedere, a Oak Park American Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Bulldog for sale in Oak Park, or seeking a American Bulldog dog from a breeder in Oak Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oak Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oak Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Bulldog breeders who help with American Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oak Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
