My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Ike. I am a 2-year-old neutered Wirehaired Dachsund mix. I weigh about 17 pounds. I am sweet, loving, and it goes without saying that I'm super cute! I love people & I get along fabulously with other dogs, too. I'm a pretty happy-go-lucky pup! My friends at CageFree describe me as a cuddle bug. I'm not really sure what that means, but I sure do love sitting in their laps and getting pets! Here's my story. I was wandering the streets of South Los Angeles with some of my friends, when somebody found me and brought me to the pound. It was really loud and scary in that place, and the word on the street is they euthanize the homeless dogs there. You can imagine how terrifying that news must have been for me! I was really hoping someone would come save me. As luck would have it, the nice people at CageFree came to break me out of doggie jail! I was free at last!
So here I am, hanging out with my new friends, waiting for my forever family to come along. Do you need some extra cuddles in your life? I can definitely help you out with that! What can I say?
