Smudge's Story...
Smudge is about 2 years old and weighs about 60 lbs. His caretaker moved to a place where he was not permitted to be. So he came to us. Smudge loves people and gets along with other dogs. He is in with 2 dogs with his temperament and noticed that if the other dogs are eating or drinking that he will stand patiently by until they are finished before he takes his turn. He loves any pets or hugs that you are willing to give him. He is a very sweet dog and is not aggressive, or dominant in any way. Smudge would love a family of his very own. Smudge favors females over males.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Smudge, a Hillsboro Boxer/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Labrador Retriever for sale in Hillsboro, or seeking a Boxer/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Hillsboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hillsboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hillsboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Boxer/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hillsboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
