2/Hi everyone! I had to check in again to tell you all about how I'm doing. This last couple of weeks I've really settled into my foster home. I get along great with their dogs. We don't play much in the house, but when we go outside we really like to chase each other around the yard!

My foster parents have been taking me to some places with them and they say I have been making a really good impression on everyone I meet. I've gotten to meet a bunch of other dogs and people and have made friends with everyone I've met. I've learned how to jump up into the crate in the back of my foster parents vehicles and I'm very good about waiting to be asked to come back out of the crate. Everyone I've met has said I'm very nice and sweet and if they were looking for a dog they'd take me home with them.

I got to go the veterinarians office for a check up and they said I need to lose about 10 pounds. My foster parents are working on that already. So far I haven't really minded that I don't get as much to eat as I used to, and I'm very good about eating my food when they give it to me. When they tried to get me to go on the scale at the vet's office I didn't really want to, but they vet's dog showed me it was ok. Overall I was very good at the vet's office and they thought I was really nice too!

My foster mom says I'm pretty calm for a Border Collie and will make someone a great companion. I'm already very devoted to my foster family. If you're looking for a nice devoted companion to snuggle on the couch and go for walks I'm just the right one for you!

Talk to you again soon.

Hi! My name is Bongo and I’ve been on a big adventure over the last week. I had a bunch of long car rides and a couple of sleep overs on my way to this place they call “Minnesota”. For the last week I’ve been staying with these nice people and two dogs that are like me. Overall it’s been pretty easy for me to transition into this new home. I’ve played a little bit with the little girl dog who they call Abbey, but she’ll only play with me for a short time. She likes me, but sometimes I get a little too rough and then she puts me in a time out. I know she’s right and I don’t hold a grudge; I just try again after we’ve both had time to settle down. The boy dog, Trek, doesn’t really like to play with me. He plays fetch a lot and I chase him when he runs for the ball. I don’t really like toys so he can have the ball, but I think it’s lots of fun to chase him.
These people have me sleep in a crate at night. It took me a couple of days to figure out that this was ok, but now I run into the crate when I know it’s time to go to sleep. They always give me some cookies when I’m in the crate so it’s really becoming a good place to be. They’re working on getting me to go into a crate in the car, but I’m not so sure about that one yet.
During the day I’ve been gated in their kitchen and I’ve been a very good boy. I haven’t gotten into any trouble or had any accidents! Mostly I just sleep while their gone, but don’t tell them that.
I’ve been on some walks and they tell me that overall I walk pretty well on a leash. When I get excited or smell something up ahead I will pull.
They also tell me that I’m pretty quiet. I haven’t really barked at all since I’ve been here. These people have a fenced yard and it took me a couple of days to have the courage to investigate the whole yard, but I eventually checked everything out. The people tell me that I’ve been very good about coming in when called too.
So far the people tell me that I’m a good companion level dog. Very sweet and like to snuggle.
I’ll let you know more about me soon.
