Roger's Story...

Please post this handsome little boy, Roger.  He's very sweet and playful, though he can cry when he is lonely. He gets along well with other cats and should have a cat companion.  He's a young cat about 9 months old.   He's been tested (negative), vaccinated, and neutered.   He was found behind an apartment building in Inwood in Manhattan. He'll do great in any new home and we know you'll love this very special guy! Contact us now to learn more about how to adopt him or stop our adoption days at Petco at 92nd and Broadway in Manhattan on Saturdays from 2-6pm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Roger, a New York Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in New York, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in New York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New York paves the way for another one to be saved.
