*~* In addition to socialization and exercise outside the home, Dixie requires a home with an enclosed yard that will provide plenty of space for exercise. *~*
Dixie is a female Australian Shepherd/Cattle Dog mix puppy only 8 months old. She is compact and sturdy, currently weighing in at 25 lbs. Dixie has an absolutely gorgeous, healthy, shiny multi-color coat of black, brown, gray and white. Her undercoat is gold in color with shiny black fur on top. Her coat is thick and soft. Dixie is a beautiful girl, both inside and out. She is very intelligent and learns almost instantaneously. She already knows how to sit and is quick to come when you call. Dixie is agile and athletic and could easily be a true star in dog agility courses. She is eager to please her people, attentive, and both treat and praise motivated. Dixie loves silly play, racing around with her doggie friends, fetch, and any other puppy games. She is young at heart and full of joy for living. True to her breed, Dixie has plenty of energy to spare, but she knows how to settle down and be part of the family when its quiet time. She walks absolutely beautifully on leash, trotting along easily by your side without pulling. She would most likely make an outstanding jogging partner because of her steadiness on leash. Dixie rides quietly in the car and is well behaved in public. She is still a puppy in a lot of ways and will look to her owner for direction and confidence. She wants to have a family or person that she can love and trust with her whole heart. She has a tender and sensitive soul, and she is super affectionate and loving. Dixie was rescued from a very high-volume/high-kill shelter. She is unique and one of a kind. If you are looking for a fun dog that you can take places and do things with, Dixie is your girl. She is also excellent with children. Dixie is looking for her new forever home today!
Dixie’s adoption donation is $450 (*TAX DEDUCTABLE). She has been SPAYED, MICROCHIPPED, VACCINATED, DEWORMED, DEFLEAED and PROFESSIONALLY GROOMED. Also included is her collar with ID, harness, leash, folder with all of her records, a great PETCO coupon book, and a fun goodie bag with toys, etc.
Dixie is being fostered by Pet Match Rescue Foster Volunteer, Vince and is ready for her forever home.
