My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Roo: 4-year old chocolate Lab male neutered 75 pounds

What a sweet, friendly boy! Roo came to Lab Rescue as his owner regretfully realized she didn't have enough time to spend with him due to graduate school and a busy schedule. These led to Roo spending too much of the day in a crate. Roo has come from a loving household which has included another dog and occasionally a cat. He is friendly to other dogs and people, loves to ride in the car, run on the beach and swim. Roo is an active boy and is a bit bouncy and mouthy at first but will settle down in the house. He is up to date on his vaccinations, microchipped and will be tested for heartworm by Lab Rescue. He will be best in an environment where he'll get the exercise and attention he deserves. He has not had a lot of exposure to children but would probably be fine with older, dog-savvy children.

Roo is neutered, updated on his shots, he is microchipped and is heartworm negative. He is a very healthy dog. He is currently in a foster home with another Lab in San Francisco.

Roo is located in San Francisco. If you are interested in this handsome boy, please contact Rescue Rep Allison at 415-806-2490. Texts are fine too but please provide some information about yourself.

(Please keep in mind we are all volunteers, most of us work full time and we all have personal lives. I do call everyone back within 2-3 days so please be patient and I will be back in touch with you. When the dogs are in foster homes then it may take longer as we need to touch base with the fosters for updates on the dogs. We work very hard to make the right matches for the dogs and for the new owners. We get 3-5 dogs per week and we do not have a facility that we keep the dogs housed in. They are scattered all over the Bay Area.)
