Forrest's Story...
Forrest is a big sweet handsome purebred chocolate boy. He is 1 to 2 years old and weighs 75 to 80 lbs. They don't come any more handsome than this boy and just look at those warm and focused brown eyes. He has a very sweet demeanor and loves being with people. Forrest would be considered a medium energy boy and would benefit from some obedience classes and someone to teach him the ropes. He loves those yummy treats which makes additional training a breeze. He is a people pleaser. Forrest does do well on a leash and would make a great walking companion or running/hiking partner. He is housetrained, crate trained, great with other dogs and just a good all around boy. We can cat test if necessary. Forrest is neutered, heartworm negative, up to date on vaccinations including rabies and micro-chipped. If you would like to learn more about this great boy, please complete the online adoption application and indicate 'Forrest' in the notes section. He will definitely make your family proud.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Forrest, a Lewisville Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Lewisville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Lewisville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lewisville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lewisville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lewisville paves the way for another one to be saved.
