Jonesey's Story...
Name: Jonesey
Breed: Cocker Spaniel/Poodle cross
Age: Adult
Gender: Male

Pretty Much Perfect is the best way to describe this happy little guy! It is difficult to understand why someone would give him up, but Jonesey found himself homeless when his family had to move to an apartment that would not allow dogs. Jonesey is about 3-4 yrs old, weighs about 20 lbs., gets along with EVERYONE he meets (human and pets), and is an award winning lap dog. He does have some spunk and energy and would do well in a fenced yard where he has room to run or daily playtime at a dog park. He prefers to follow his humans everywhere, be with them at all times, and enjoys car rides. He is not fond of crates and does well with free roam of the house. He is housetrained, although may take some adjustment time to a new routine. He does well with other dogs, cats and kids. He can be vocal when he has something to say such as "see that bird outside?", "did you hear that dog bark?" or "I don't like crates!".  If you are looking for a constant companion who has surpassed his naughty puppy days, then Jonesey may be your guy.
Requirements: Single Family Residence - No shared walls (such as apartment or townhome).
You can email with questions and for a preadopt application. This dog has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated as age appropriate, tested for heartworm disease if age appropriate, and dewormed.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jonesey, a Minneapolis Cocker Spaniel/Poodle (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel/Poodle (Miniature) for sale in Minneapolis, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel/Poodle (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Minneapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Minneapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Minneapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel/Poodle (Miniature) breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel/Poodle (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Minneapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
