My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tulip is a several-times mama whose life has taken a turn for the better. She was wandering as a stray in Oakland when she was found by a concerned citizen. A visit to a veterinary office confirmed that she had no identifying chip and resulted in that office calling Dusty Paws Rescue about a very sweet dog who needed rescue. When her hold period was up at the shelter Tulip was pulled into foster care and is doing great.

Tulip looks like an English Staffordshire Bull Terrier, about 4 years old, short and sturdy at 60 lbs. She is a sweet, calm dog, who is comfortable with people and loves to be loved.

Tulip is living peaceably in a foster home that includes 4 large dogs and a dog-savvy cat. When she meets another dog, she wants to play with it. She shows only mild interest in cats. Tulip is house trained. Her foster mom says she is of medium activity level, good in the home, not destructive and not a barker.

Tulip has a deformed left front paw (foster mom calls it her starfish paw). It causes her to limp slightly, but does not affect her ability to run and jump. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped.
