Rhett was dropped off by his previous humans at the Harbor Animal Shelter in San Pedro, CA where he patiently waited 3 months in a kennel for someone to bring him home. This amazing boy captured the hearts of shelter volunteers and staff with his calm demeanor, loving personality, and goofy attitude.

Rhett loves to cuddle, lounge around the house, and watch his foster humans handle the daily chores while he snoozes. He is a great hiking buddy, but has been known to turn a morning run into an opportunity to sun bathe.

Rhett should not be in a home with another dog- although he’s a sweet heart and poops out easily, his size and strength can be intimidating for other dogs.

He is also very smart and learns quickly- he knows sit, lay, down, stay, shake and heal. He is also the perfect dinner guest and won't beg at all for your food! He is extremely well mannered and wont chew on anything while you're away!

Rhett is currently in foster-care, looking and ready for his forever family!

About Ace of Hearts Dog Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing dogs from various Los Angeles shelters the day they are to be euthanized. Our goal is to help provide animals with a second chance to a happy life and to help reduce pet overpopulation through spay and neuter programs. Once rescued, we place our dogs into loving foster homes while they await adoption. We do not keep dogs in kennels. Placing the dogs in foster homes is the first step to rehabilitation, as it allows us to thoroughly evaluate a dog's demeanor and needs enabling us to make the perfect match of dog and permanent owner. We attribute our high rate of successful placement to our foster program. At Ace of Hearts, we do not discriminate against any breed, including those in the bully breed family. Additionally, Ace of Hearts is dedicated to educating the public on how to be responsible pet owners and on the importance of spaying and neutering. We believe the real solution to pet overpopulation is through spaying and neutering pets.
