Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Falstaff is a big boy lhasa apso! He weighs 30lbs! That’s pretty big for a lhasa, but he is all muscle…or so we say so. Falstaff found himself as a stray and landed in a high kill shelter so we don’t know anything about his past. He is estimated to be about 5 years old and he has compromised vision because of an entropian eyelid condition that was not treated or corrected. He has had surgery to remove the extra skin on his eyelids and so his eyes are no longer irritated. He takes eye meds right now, but there is a good chance that after a couple of months, his eyes will be healed enough so that he will no longer need them. He gets around very well and comes when called. He is also housetrained and is a very pleasant, easy going boy. He is well leash trained and seems to enjoy going for walks. He is good with other dogs if they are larger than he is and he will chase cats and dogs smaller than him. He will not hurt them but he thinks they want to play and they do not always want to play with him. Because his vision is compromised, we recommend a home with older children only (no toddlers). He enjoys sitting on laps and sprawling out on his doggie bed. He has long fur which will require regular grooming. Falstaff is current on all vaccines, is microchipped and neutered. He is all ready for his forever home and family. For more information about Falstaff please email stmartinsanimalrescue@hotmail.com and ask for an application. His adoption donation is $200.
