Gus's Story...
Gus is our resident entertainer. As you can see from his goofy grin, Gus is a mischievous little guy that is all about FUN!!! Gus is a social butterfly and one of the most adventurous dogs we have at CRCS. He loves the water and will splash and play in the kiddie pool on a hot day. He's crazy about toys and playing fetch though sometimes he likes to customize the toys by adding a few extra holes - they are more aerodynamic that way, you know! And he just loves to get out for walks. Gus enjoys his outings so much that periodically he will bounce up in the air from all four paws as if to say, YE-HAW we're going for an adventure!!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gus, a Washoe Valley American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Washoe Valley, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Washoe Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Washoe Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Washoe Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Washoe Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
