My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Memna /aka/ Mem is a very sweet and gentle 11 year old red smooth dachshund. He weighs about 16 pounds. Mem’s owner moved out of state and re-homed him with a friend. The next day the friend left Mem at a shelter. Fortunately a CCDR representative was contacted and Mem was rescued from the shelter. Since being in his foster home he has shown how much he likes to cuddle up next to a human and sleep. When Mem’s foster Dad happens to be working from home Mem enjoys hanging out in the office watching his “Dad” work. Likewise, when the family is settled in to watch TV Mem chills out with his foster dachshund brothers and sisters enjoying their company and that of the humans. Mem is easy going and is very good with other dogs. He likes to go on walks in warm weather and enjoys exploring his fenced yard. Mem would love to be with his human all of the time and when he is not he will at times whimper/whine, but, settles down relatively quickly. Mem has been good with women, men and children that understand how to respect a dog. Mem is house trained, but, has had occasional accidents which would most likely resolve in a home where someone is home during the day. Mem’s ideal Colorado home would be one where he can live out the rest of his life and not worry that someone is going to leave him again. To meet this wonderful senior please fill out and submit a Coast to Coast Dachshund Rescue adoption application. The application can be found on line at www.c2cdr.org. Memna has been fully vetted including a dental. His adoption fee is $150.00, his devotion is priceless. If more information is needed email: beth@rmh27.com.
