Teddy's Story...
Teddy was rescued and brought into our care and once again we find him back with us. It is unfortunate, but Teddy's family developed allergies and were no longer able to care for him. We can't always bring all cats adopted back into our program, but we had an available foster home that was more than happy to help.

Teddy loves to play either on his own by batting his toys around, or by having someone throw things for him to fetch. Although he is a bit shy and won't come right out, he does peek around corners and come to the edge of the cage for a good scratch. This is understandable as Teddy is missing his previous home and his family. Once Teddy becomes more comfortable in his new surroundings his true shining personality will come forward. Will you be the person to give this boy the chance he deserves at a new life?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Teddy, a Burlington Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Burlington, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Burlington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Burlington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Burlington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Burlington paves the way for another one to be saved.
