My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

UPDATE - 24 JUNE 2015: Ringo is a very beautiful, sensitive beagle who loves people and other dogs. His pictures don't do justice to his handsome face. He is happiest when he is cuddled up next to us on the sofa. Starting on his first day here, he showed us a sweet disposition and had no problem letting us give him a bath. Ringo is trusting and eager to please us, but he can sometimes be spooked by odd noises and things that disrupt his routine. If we accidentally slam a cabinet too loud, poor Ringo might run and hide. He is probably better suited for a fairly quiet home, but I think he will outgrow this behavior as he gains more confidence.

Ringo is a passive fellow but at the same time plays actively and has a lot of fun romping with our other two beagles. He has also made great progress with house training! At first he really didn't like the crate, but now he stays quiet all night and keeps his crate clean. He is naturally very teachable and attentive to people - and this will help when it comes time for him to learn a new routine in his future (forever) home.

One of the most endearing things about Ringo is that he will just let you pick him up and carry him around like a big teddy bear! We believe he would be an excellent companion for adults, older children, and other dogs.

Ringo is a 2-year-old male beagle who will be available soon. He is friendly but cautious and good with other dogs. Ringo is less cautious when with another, better-socialized dog and would probably do best in a home with another dog. He came in as stray with Weizen in Cumberland County, Virginia, and his history is unknown.
