Lana's Story...
Lana is a totally tantalizing tabby girl. With her brown tabby stripes and little white feet that look like she’s wearing mittens for the cold winter weather she could not be a cuter kitty! Lana came to 4Paws as a declawed cat who was given up to a shelter in Maryland through no fault of her own. Lana has gotten a bit chunky and could lose a pound or two, but don’t worry that just means there’s more of Lana to love. And Lana loves to love! Lana is quite affectionate, she likes being petted, giving head butts, getting plenty of scratches on her adorable white chin and hanging out with her people wherever they are.

Lana would like it if you played with her, she likes to chase after her toys and it will help her get her figure back. Lana thinks she’s the only kitty you need in your life so she’s not crazy about other cats. Once you see Lana and she gives you that sweet Puss in Boots look you’ll want to take her home! Please come and meet Lana and give her the chance to become a loving member of your family!

Lana was born in March 2011. She has been spayed, tested negative for FIV and feline leukemia and is up to date on all her shots.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lana, a Merrifield Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Merrifield, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Merrifield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Merrifield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Merrifield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Merrifield paves the way for another one to be saved.
