Here's what the humans have to say about me:
April 2015 update: Hope is here and is a very sweet, busy lovebug. She runs like the wind and a fenced yard would definitely help her drain some energy. She will not be an off-leash candidate because she is way too interested in taking off after small critters. She likes other dogs and would love a companion to match her energy level.
Hope went to the dog park with her foster mom and she introduced herself to everyone there - there are no strangers in Hope's world!
Hope gets too excited about cats. She whines, barks, and chases them. Even after getting scratched in the nose she keeps up the game, so we think she would do best in a feline-free home.
We think Hope may be an Italian Greyhound mix or Whippet mix. Her personality fits the whippet description almost to a tee - and typical of that breed she does not like the cold - she will definitely need a stylish coat next winter and maybe some booties. This has made the housetraining go a little slow because she'd rather go in the warmth but she will get there.
Hope is super snuggly and likes everyone - what a doll!
Hope has had a long journey to health and we are so happy that she is ready now. When she was rescued she had almost no hair due to mange and was so sick. Now she is a happy healthy girl who has her hair and she has a pretty black and brown coat that is just beautiful. She is about 9 months old (as of early Feb) and she weighs only about 20 lbs – she is all legs and ears!
Hope loves other dogs and children, she is housetrained, crate-trained and ready to roll! Isn’t she just the cutest?!
To apply to adopt this dog, please visit our web site to access our application and learn more about adoption through Lucky Pup Rescue, www.luckypuprescue.org, or request an application via email, luckypuprescue@yahoo.com.
Please note, we do not have a physical location, but we are supported by a network of wonderful foster homes that are spread throughout New England. A dog will need to be visited by a prospective adopter in the foster home where they are feeling safe and comfortable.
