Nancy's Story...
I am Nancy, and I came to the Humane Society kennel as a stray several years ago. One of the kind volunteers is now fostering me, and I am thriving in my foster home. My foster mom thinks I am partly greyhound, because have long legs and a longish snout. I have a pretty, brown brindle coat. I weigh 44 lbs. I am good on a leash. I'm very quiet and not a jumper. I always let you know when I'm ready to go outside for a bathroom break. I'm looking for that special home who wants a quiet, smart senior dog.

I am a senior girl and the Humane Society says I am eligible for the Guardian Angel Fund which helps new owners with medical bills for my senior needs in future, should they arise.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nancy, a Hot Springs Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound for sale in Hot Springs, or seeking a Greyhound dog from a breeder in Hot Springs.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hot Springs already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hot Springs breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound breeders who help with Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hot Springs paves the way for another one to be saved.
