Maizie's Story...
Hi my name is Maizie. I am not up for adoption yet because I have been having a really hard time. First, I came to the rescue fully pregnant. About 2 weeks later I had all my puppies and they all died. My foster mom didn't know what happened. Well, then I started to get really sick and they took me to the best doctor and he diagnosed me with heartworm disease. I am currently undergoing treatment for that but it is really taking a toll on my little body. Now they found out I also have mastitis which is where my mammary glands are infected. The doctor says that is because I never had puppies to take some of my milk. We are in desperate need of donations to help save my life. If you could help with anything please contact my foster mom ASAP!!! Thanks!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maizie, a Grant Park Boston Terrier/Pug dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boston Terrier/Pug for sale in Grant Park, or seeking a Boston Terrier/Pug dog from a breeder in Grant Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grant Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grant Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boston Terrier/Pug breeders who help with Boston Terrier/Pug rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grant Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
