Meet Ayah! A curious and sweet little girl. Ayah takes some time to warm up to new people as she can still be a bit skittish, so a quiet home would be best for this girl. With a little bit of patience we have no doubt she will come out of her shell. Once she gets used to you, she will try to groom you, sleep by your feet, have meaningful conversations (she's a talker), wake you up to play, and head butt you as a sign of affection. You can usually find Ayah batting around her favourite toy balls and scratching her post. A scratching post is essential for this girl.
Ayah has a condition known as viral conjunctivitis, basically she experiences outbreaks of teary and water eyes, and fits of sneezing. She is currently taking supplements of L-Lysine in the form of a treat to alleviate the symptoms. Seeing as the condition is contagious to other cats when symptoms are present, we recommend adopting her without any other cats in the house. Otherwise, this isn't a huge health concern and doesn't seem to affect her much. This green eyed girl is now ready for her forever home!
