My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I'd climb the highest mountains and swim the deepest sea I'd do most anything to show my love for you - Jody Watley 'To Be With You'

Now that's some serious love! Sounds just like a loyal loving pup....Oh wait! It is! Jody is known for his sweet loving demeanor, a very gentle boy who loves all. Jody is a 20 lb six month old black and tan Rottie/Terrier mix (does that make him a Rotterier?) It's only a guess but we think he will be around 40 to 50 lbs when full grown. His foster mom is pretty impressed at the care he uses when playing with his tiny 3 lb foster siblings. Like most pups, he enjoys play time and toys. He easily submits to the older members of the pack and apparently does not feel the need to challenge others. Jody minds his manners when it comes to toys and eating, no guarding. He has already mastered the doggy door and is doing very well with his house training. He has met the scary resident cat and showed no interest in chasing or being confrontational. Jody still needs a bit of work with leash training, he's not very fond of it so would be a good candidate for a harness. Car rides make him a little nervous as he associates them with being abandoned or going to the doctor to have things removed (yes! Jody IS neutered). We think a few car rides with positive association (like toy shopping or trips to the park) will help him see travel as a good thing. Jody, as mentioned earlier, is already neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, and current on all preventatives. This sweet natured boy has made great strides to go from off the streets and in a shelter to being a wonderful indoor companion. He has already climbed those mountains and swam those seas just to survive. Now he'd do it all again just to be with you always in a loving forever home.
