Shiny's Story...
Ladies and gentlemen, meet the newest Golden Bone dog looking for a forever home- Shiny!

This girl loves everyone--kids, adults, etc. She is a bit shy at first with other dogs, but now plays with her foster mom's pup constantly and is good with the grumpy senior dog in her foster home as well. We don't know how she is with cats or other small pets. She has looked at her foster family's chickens, but hasn't made any efforts too get at them yet so that is a good sign!

As far as potty training goes, Shiny definitely goes outside on her own through the dog door, but she does have the occasional accident so she is not 100% just yet. Being young she also needs some manners training (like 4 on the floor, no getting on furniture etc), but she's very treat motivated which can make training easier. Shiny is working on currently crate training . She whines a bit at first, but sleeps through the night once she calms down.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shiny, a Sedona Italian Greyhound/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Italian Greyhound/Labrador Retriever for sale in Sedona, or seeking a Italian Greyhound/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Sedona.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sedona already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sedona breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Italian Greyhound/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Italian Greyhound/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sedona paves the way for another one to be saved.
