Skyly's Story...
This pretty girl is Skyly. Her, her 7 siblings and their mother were found abandoned in a field by a young boy returning home from school. His mother contacted us for help so we took them in to care for them. The mom looks to be mostly black lab but a bit smaller than most labs I have seen. She was a wonderful mother to these babies but they were weaned from her a few weeks ago. We obviously have no idea on father/fathers considering they were found abandoned but Skyly may have some border collie in her. We are estimating them to be 8 weeks old as of 2-7-15. Skyly is completely vetted including spay, wormed- vaccines, etc. She is ready for her forever home. She currently only weighs about 7 pounds. Skyly and her family are located in Arkansas but we have dogs transported to the Northeast weekly once they are adopted. We use Got Orphans Transport and you can check them out at www.gotransporters.com For more info and an application on Skyly- please email Sandy at vshutchins@gmail.com and thank you for considering one of my rescues.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Skyly, a Buffalo Labrador Retriever/Border Collie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Border Collie for sale in Buffalo, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Border Collie puppy from a breeder in Buffalo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Buffalo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Buffalo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Border Collie breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Buffalo paves the way for another one to be saved.
