My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MEET OZZIE -

Our cutest new addition to the ODR, Inc. Precious Puppy Brigade. Just 16 months old, OZZIE is a 12 lb, long/wirehaired doxie (not a mix). He has already had his shots, is neutered and is quickly becoming housetrained. We mention this last part because little OZZIE has spent most of his young life outside, so living indoors is a bit new for him (though he is adjusting quickly). He doesn't know how to play with toys, but he is very sweet with an endearing personality and loves loves loves to be cuddled. Really...he's the perfect valentine. Since OZZIE is just a baby, he needs a forever family that will return the love he has to give for a lifetime. He will also need puppy training and a fenced yard to run around and play in. Are you looking for a sweet loveable doxie puppy to share a lifetime of love with?

OUR CRITERIA (aka The Fine Print):

Based on 30 years of experience with rescue doxies, we have pretty strict criteria. Do you work from home/stay at home/work part time? Have a securely fenced yard? We do not place same gender dogs in a home unless they were raised together, and children need to be 10 or older (some exceptions IF the dog is a puppy or the child has been raised with a doxie). We prefer non smokers and a home with no other small animals (ferrets, hamsters, etc) Cats are on a case by case basis depending on the dog. Remember, these are rescues; many were surrendered because of these issues.

WHAT YOU GET IN RETURN WITH YOUR LITTLE RESCUE:

All our dogs are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, rabies, DHPP, Bordetella, Pyrantyl, nails trimmed, and dental when needed. They'll come with a basket of goodies, food, toys and a custom made harness. The adoption fee is $395, sorry no exceptions, as this covers the cost to rescue them, vet them and take care of them while in our rescue. It also helps towards the care of other doxies that come with huge vet or dental bills or need extensive behavioral training.

Can you give OZZIE a happy, carefree life? If interested, please complete the adoption questionnaire at www.odr-inc.org and email it to: jrangan@comcast.net. The adoption committee will attempt to be in contact with you within 48-72 hours. Please be patient as we are solely volunteer run.
