My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I am a 1-year-old spayed female Shih Tzu/Poodle mix -- and that makes me a Shih-Poo! I weigh approximately 10 pounds. I may be a petite gal, but I have a big personality. I'm outgoing, playful and always looking for adventure. I'm probably one of the most inquisitive pups you'll ever meet. I can't wait to explore the world with you.

I love everybody I meet - dogs and humans alike! I'm the perfect companion for someone who is always on the go. If you take me with you, I promise to be the most well-behaved pup around.

You're probably wondering how I got here. I was dropped off at a local high-kill shelter as a stray. I came in with a splint on my right front leg. I also had a small wound above the splint. My hair was heavily matted and my toe nails were way over grown. The shelter cleaned my wound and clipped my toe nails. They also took X-rays of my leg and foot. The X-rays showed that I had several fractures in my toes. I was put on medication and sent to the medical ward.

Thankfully, I was only at the shelter for 6 days before CageFree came to my rescue. They scooped me up and sent me to see their private vet. My doctor said that there was nothing that needed to be done for my toes, just some activity restriction while they healed. Since I had to be on activity restriction anyway, my doctor went ahead and spayed me while I was there. Two birds with one stone!

I'm now looking for my forever home! I would really love an active family. I'm still kind of a puppy so playing is high on my list of favorite things to do. I am completely healed now and I am no longer on activity restriction so I am good to go! I think I would enjoy going to the dog park or playing catch in the back yard. Things like that sound like so much fun.

Do you think I would make a good addition to your family? If so, please do not hesitate to contact CageFree and tell them you want to meet me!
