AVAILABLE 02-10-15 Max and his stepsister, Sugar Baby, were brought to the Shelter because their owner was no longer able to provide adequate care for them. She had them both since their birth, so they were really scared and confused when they first arrived at the Shelter. Max is 7yrs. old and Sugar Baby is 10yrs. old; they have lived together for the last 7+ years - needless to say they are kind of "attached to each other". In fact, when they go for a walk they want to be taken together, so of course, they are walked together. They now come to the front of their cage when they see the leashes and are ready to go. Max is a Dachshund/Poodle Mix and Sugar Baby is a Rat Terrier Mix with her stub of a tail. They are quite energetic for their age and love to be held - definitely lap dogs. Max is neutered and Sugar Baby is spayed, shots are up to date and they tested negative for heart worms. They are housetrained, enjoy car rides, leash walks and napping. If you've been looking for a little lap dog - maybe you would consider one or both of these "sweeties". They have many years of love and loyalty to give, so come to the Shelter in Elizabeth City to meet Max and Sugar Baby. Both could be adopted for one adoption fee.
