Monty's Story...
Don't worry! You won't have to cover your eyes—I’m rated E for everyone! But if you do take me home you will get the Full Monty! That is, all my fun-loving & caring personality traits mixed with the watchful eye of a wonderful companion! I may be young, but I have an ingrained sense of vigilance. I look after those that I care for, and I want a family that will do the same for me. I haven't had the best life so far, but I know there is something better for me out there. I get along great with other dogs, it's just the cats that I don't socialize with well, or at all really. But I have a pretty good head on my shoulders, and with consistent reward-based training I could be a world-class scholar! Or just mind my manners in public, however you want to look at it. My crate training is going pretty great, and I feel it is something all dogs should be versed in. Start the music and prepared to be wowed, cos this full Monty knows how to get down! 1 year old-55lbs My adoption fee is $200 and includes neuter, microchip, 1 month pet health insurance, free veterinary exam, reduced-cost training class, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Monty, a Portland Dutch Shepherd/Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dutch Shepherd/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Portland, or seeking a Dutch Shepherd/Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dutch Shepherd/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Dutch Shepherd/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
