This sweet old gal has lived most of her life outside. We think she is at least 10 years old. She is not feral but actually very mellow and sweet. Since her rescue she has been living at our shelter but we think she deserves a real home. She gets along with other cats, and keeps to herself. She can always be found resting in a comfortable bed. Xena had her left ear removed from a tumor. She has also been diagnosised with hyperthyroidism. She will require pills twice a day to help her gain weight and feel better. We can certainly take care of her here, but with 50-75 other cats in our adoption program, the 'special' kitties don't always get that extra TLC that a home would provide. We can only imagine the life she had on the streets. There have not been many cats we have saved, who were more deserving than Xena. Our adoption center is located at 7962 Clyde Park SW Byron Center. Our open adoption hours are every Thursday 6-8pm and Sunday from 12-2pm. Come on out and meet the love of your life! Good news! We now have donation based adoption fees on all cats over 1 year. (minimum of $50)This means you choose your adoption fee. Give us a little extra toward the cause, or use the cash you save to stock up on cat toys, treats and beds for your new kitty!! (Donations above our fee are always encouraged and greatly appreciated as the average kitty costs us around $150 to take from dive to dream home.)
'Our adoption facility only houses so many kitties. The rest are in foster homes. If you want to meet a specific kitty, please inquire with us before attending an adoption event, so we can make every effort to have the requested kitties available!'
