My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Maverick is an absolutely off-the-charts amazing boy! He is 4 - 5 year old, classic black and tan male German Shepherd available for adoption. He is healthy, neutered, up to date on shots, flea treatment and dewormed. He's a large dog currently around 90 pounds and still a little under weight. He has giant upright ears, and all of the qualities people always ask for in a GSD: Impressive in size, big pointy ears, and the temperament of a silly Labrador in a Shepherd's body. Sometimes he reminds us of the Great Dane Marmaduke :)

Maverick is a wonderful companion and he could really enhance the life of someone in need of a soul mate. He rides well in the car, has shown to be good with kids, people, and other dogs. He loves hikes, walks, riding shotgun in the car, or just sitting at your feet while you read. He most of all loves his person/family. He likes to lean on you - he's a real lover and also likes to give kisses!

Maverick is gentle but does the typical GSD thing and keeps watch over his family. He is currently in a foster home with two other GSDs and is doing fantastic. He's housetrained and crate trained on top of it all. A true gentleman.
