Furby's Story...
Hi, I'm Furby! I'm a 3-year-old male shih-tzu that was found as a stray and never claimed by my owners. Now I need a new home! I was VERY matted and stinky when I came in, but I went to the groomer and now I smell all clean! I seem good with other dogs, kids, and cats, but I will have to meet your dog (if you have one) before going home to make sure we are a good match.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Furby, a Middletown Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Middletown, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Middletown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Middletown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Middletown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Middletown paves the way for another one to be saved.
