My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

OK...this is Sandy, or as her foster Mom calls her "Super Sandy"!! SCD stepped up to rescue this beautiful girl when her owner could no longer keep her due to personal health issues...and we're so glad we did because she's proving to be an amazing dog!

Sandy is a 3 year old Carolina Dog that came from Kentucky living as a farm girl. She was a bit timid when we rescued her, but she's settling in nicely at one of our admins homes (she's a SUPER foster!!!) with her other 2 dogs and cat - so yeah, she's cat friendly! This sweet pup is up to date on all vaccines and she's been spayed - she's also HW negative and she LOVES children. For this reason, we're looking for a family with kids that has an active lifestyle....a family that has time to spend with her outdoors playing, training, living life to the fullest! Sandy is an absolute joy and we want to find an experienced home looking for that special pup to add to their pack. She'll be ready to go to a new home sometime in March 2015 so we thought we'd give all those potential adopters a heads up on this incredible pup!

She's crate trained, housebroken, and working on all the commands her foster Mom is teaching her. If you think that Sandy could be a good fit for your home/ family then please send an email to:
