My name is Lipton and I am a rescue from the streets of a Quebec Northern Reservation thankfully some very nice volunteers came to save me and many other dogs before the dog cull took place … yes people dog culls do happen in Quebec and more often that you would think!
I found my way to Montreal and eventually into CAA Rescue’s Foster Care Family.
I am a super dude! I about 45 lbs of absolutely pure delight
I love traveling in the car so if you have road trips planned I am your man!!
I currently live with two dogs in my foster homes and get along great with them; so if you already have a dog and they are looking for a friend I just could be that guy!
I am a little nervous in this new surrounding of a home with a bed to sleep on and a full belly but I am very quickly getting used to it and really loving it!
I was tested with cats when I was at the shelter and was fine but in my foster home there currently are no cats so I guess it will depend on the personality of your cat! Maybe we can get along and maybe we can’t; I guess only a meeting will tell us for sure
While I am dog friendly I do really enjoy the company of people! I love pets and snuggles and just any attention you can give to me. I am very social – like a butterfly!
I have not been left alone for any extended period of time yet in foster care but so far there have been no issues with anxiety at least none that my foster daddy can see
I have not been tested with any children and while I have a very shy and gentle nature CAA Rescue wonders if a household with rambunctious children would be too much for me at this time in my life so they think children only the age of 10 years and older who can understand and be respectful of the potential hardships I may have faced in my past life would be a better family choice for me. Of course I am changing a lot daily in foster care so who knows what my future may hold
I am housetrained and like to do my business outside where I have always done it.
I show absolutely no signs of aggression or possession with people or other dogs
I will need a family to invest some time with me on basic obedience … but I am super smart and a fast learner
I love my walks but could use some more help with walking on the leash like a proper canine citizen should
If you are looking for a best friend and promise to always love me; if you are reading my story and know that it is me that is missing in your life and that I am the one that can make your heart complete please email CAARescue@gmail.com and ask them for an application for adoption. It is a few questions and it will take no longer than 20 minutes to complete but once you do that we can meet.
