Poe's life so far has been a little chaotic but things are looking up now! And he is SO READY to have a loving, forever home! He is a almost fully grown youngster of about 1 years old and about 55 lbs.

Poe was the companion of a homeless couple. He was hit by a car, severely injured his front leg. He was very fortunate to be helped by a wonderful woman who dedicates her time to helping the companion animals of the homeless.

She paid to have surgery done to repair his leg. He rehabbed at vet clinic for over a month. Ath this point, his former human companions decided they no longer wanted him. Poe ended up at Front St. shelter in Sacramento. His guardian angel found out he was there and called the vet clinic to see how he was doing and if any of the techs caring for him might be interested in adopting him.

After awhile, the vets & the shelter decided that Poe's best chance for a long, healthy, active life was to amputate the leg that just wouldn't heal and function well. She felt his leg should be amputated as it was not doing well. (Shelter agreed.) His guardian angel stepped in again and paid for the second surgery and helped out with food and other needs.

Poe is neutered and current on all his vaccinations.
