Brant is a male Schnauzer mix approximately 3 years in age. He is a big boy, weighing in at 25 pounds full grown. Brant has a shiny black coat with white frosting here and there, white feet, and a white chest. His brilliant, vivid amber eyes are most definitely the first thing you notice about him. He has quite the mesmerizing stare. Brant is very intelligent, friendly, and adaptable. He gets along well with all other dogs, big and small, and will play on occasion. He is a regular participant at the local dog park. Brant has a remarkable story, having been discovered abandoned by animal control. He was chained up and the large, heavy links of the chain had rubbed away a circle of fur around his neck. Poor Brant probably tried to free himself for quite some time. Despite this, Brant has maintained an amazing level of confidence and poise. He is a wonderful animal and its obvious he wants to be included in family life and have a home where people care about him. He is attentive and likes to be inside the home. He might explore the backyard on his own for a bit while you garden or have a cookout, but he is always aware of where his people are. Brant is eager to please and wants to do the right thing. He is currently learning how to sit and will look at you with his penetrating stare as if to say "what do you want me to do next?" Brant walks well on leash with a harness and rides beautifully in the car. He has a nice amount of energy for long walks, hikes, or weekend trips, but he is not hyper in the least. He knows when it is time to settle down and take a snooze. Brant is going to make a wonderful pet with an amazing story of survival. He is healthy and ready for his new forever home today!
Brant’s adoption donation is $375 (*TAX DEDUCTABLE). He has been NEUTERED, MICROCHIPPED, VACCINATED, DEWORMED, DEFLEAED and PROFESSIONALLY GROOMED. Also included is his collar with ID, harness, leash, folder with all of his records, a great PETCO coupon book, and a fun goodie bag with toys, etc.
Brandt is being fostered by Pet Match Rescue Foster Volunteer, Sharon and is ready for his forever home.
You may meet and apply to adopt Brant at our ADOPTION EVENT on SATURDAY, AUGUST 8th from 12 Noon - 3:00 at PETCO in IRVINE located at 15333 Culver Dr., Irvine, CA 92604. (Our event is held INSIDE of the PETCO store.) adoptpetmatch@gmail.com
