My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! I'm Atlas. My friends think I am a 2-year-old neutered male Great Dane/Pit Bull mix. I'm 66 pounds of pure sweetness. I may look like a guard dog with my intense gaze and intimidating size, but let me tell you, I would make the worst deterrent. I'd probably invite an intruder in and request that they spend an hour petting me before taking your TV.

I came into a local high-kill shelter as a stray, but I was definitely someone's pet at one time. I'm at the perfect weight, I have a healthy, shiny coat, and I've been very well-socialized. I love everybody I meet - people and dogs alike! I'm probably one of the most well-behaved dogs you'll ever meet, too! In fact, I'm such a good boy that I was allowed to participate in a mobile adoption event the shelter was having. Just so you know, only the very best dogs get to go to things like that. They don't want anyone embarrassing them!

I'm still a young guy so I do require a decent amount of exercise. You're not going to have to entertain me 24/7, but I would like some playtime in the yard or a couple of trips to the dog park throughout the week. Nothing crazy. To tell you the truth, I also enjoy just hanging out on the couch from time to time. I'm telling you, I'm a really easy going boy!
