My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

DOB February 6, 2013.

Gentle Carson was part of a small group of cats brought from Quebec. He doesn’t have a mean bone in his body, but has clearly been through some unpleasant things. He's reserved and laid back, and enjoys watching the action rather than taking part.

He enjoys being brushed and petted – he especially loves cheek and chin skritches – and will allow himself to be picked up. He's not that outgoing, but a shake of the treats bag will bring him running! He can be a little too food-motivated, so his family will need to make sure he doesn't over-indulge.

He gets along fine with his feline foster brothers: he lets the younger ones climb all over him, and interacts nicely with the older ones.

Carson will need time, patience, and a gentle hand to build his trust. He'd do best in a quiet home without kids. He’s fine with other cats, and should be OK with dogs. (He’s met one calm dog that he ignored and one lively dog that he hissed at, but retreated from.) Carson is a sweet, gentle boy who will reward your patience with affection and companionship. If you're looking for a low-maintenance, laid-back sweetheart, please open your home to Carson.
