Scotty's Story...
Hello there. My name is Scotty and I am about 3 years old and weigh 66 lbs. I got lost and a family found me. They took care of me and tried to find my owners but they couldn’t. While I was with them I got hit by a car. I also got attacked by their German Shepherd. I tried to make friends with him, but I guess he wanted to be the only dog. So AGB came and got me and got me the surgery I needed to fix my hip and leg that got messed up when I got hit by the car. They also found out I am heartworm positive and they are going to give me the medicine I need to get well again. As you can see, I have had a hard life but my AGB friends have promised me they will find me a perfect forever home. They say I am housetrained, happy and calm and I would be a great companion. If you are interested in helping me find my happily ever after contact AGB and ask for me, Scotty

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scotty, a BIRMINGHAM Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in BIRMINGHAM, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in BIRMINGHAM.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in BIRMINGHAM already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a BIRMINGHAM breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in BIRMINGHAM paves the way for another one to be saved.
