Anabelle's Story...
Believe it or not Miss Anabelle was a stray that ended up in a kill shelter and needed rescuing. Miss Anabelle is a small Saint Bernard that only weighs 80 pounds and she is full grown. She is heartworm negative and is now spayed and is looking for a wonderful home. She gets along well with other Saint Bernard's. She is between 3 and 4 years old. She loves to play and is learning her new name. If you have dreamed of a Saint Bernard, Miss Anabelle could be the one you have been waiting for. However she is very slow to warm up to new people. Anabelle needs to go to a home with a person that has many years experience training dogs. We never know which people she will like at first. Once she has been around a new person for about 1 hour she is fine and loves you. However at first she may growl , but does not bite.
In concern for families with small children, we will not adopt a dog to a home with any child under the age of 5. This is due to the large size of Saint Bernard and the safety of your children. Our Saint Bernards are not aggressive or mean in any way, they can just knock down children easily. If you would like to visit Anabelle please contact St. Cloud's Rescue at or call 972-679-5319. All dogs adopted through St Clouds Rescue must be indoor pets. St. Bernards cannot tolerate the extreme Texas weather condition. All of our dogs must be adopted with the new person or family purchasing 1 year supply of Heart Worm preventive from us at our cost . This saves the new family money and we make sure the dog is safe from getting heart worms at least for the 1st year after they are adopted. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Anabelle, a McKinney St. Bernard dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a St. Bernard for sale in McKinney, or seeking a St. Bernard dog from a breeder in McKinney.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in McKinney already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a McKinney breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even St. Bernard breeders who help with St. Bernard rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in McKinney paves the way for another one to be saved.
