Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello. My name is Flynn. I'm about 2 years old and I weigh about 68 lbs.
I was dumped out here at the pound with 2 other dogs.
My friends and I were very fearful when we arrived here at the pound. Frederico a small dog and he was the happiest and least fearful so he got adopted really quickly. My friend Firefly and I were more timid and we were afraid at first to open up and trust people... I mean, the last people we loved and trusted dropped us off here at the pound in the dark in the frigid weather, so trusting was hard for us at first.
Now that I have been here for a little while, I have learned that the people here are friendly and I have opened up to them and shown them what a phenomenal boy I am.
I am good with the other dogs I have met here at the pound so far. I really loved my best friend Firefly. We would play together, cuddle together and even give eachother kisses. I lost my best friend, Firefly, just when we were learning just how good people can be to us. She bloated unexpectedly. The vet tried their hardest but they were unable to save her. Fortunately, the pound staff realized there was a problem with her so she didn't have to suffer... I really miss her. Sometimes I go to the kennel where she stayed and look to see if she is there.
I am confused an scared here at the pound.
I am finally able to go outside for walks and although I am still a little nervous, I can go with you and be okay. I love going up into the play yard now. I get cold easily due to my short coat, but I sure do enjoy a good romp in the snow!
I seem to have some house training... I may even be housebroken completely. It's hard for the pound to tell for sure with this weather.
I know it might take me a few minutes to get to know you, but I'm definitely worthy of the time spent getting to know me.
I am now becoming a very happy boy. I love spending time in the office now. I also love getting "couch time"... you know the time I get to spend on the couch with my peoples here at the pound.
I am coming around more and more everyday. I am really hoping that someone will be willing to spend some time getting to know me. I know if someone will get to know me, they'll just fall in love.
Please consider adopting me.
I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer.
PLEASE CONSIDER THIS DOG, AS WELL AS ALL THE OTHER DOGS AT OUR SHELTER AS URGENT. OUR KENNEL SPACE HERE AT THE POUND IS VERY LIMITED. THIS DOG COULD BE EUTHANIZED WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE ANY TIME AFTER FEBRUARY 17, 2015.
HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS.
MY ADOPTION FEE IS $110 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY NEUTER SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO.
THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
