My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Breed: Powder Puff Chinese Crested
DOB: 2010
Sex: Neutered Male
Weight: 12 pounds

Foster home in Grand Rapids.

Please note: Cramer does shed.

Please meet Cramer Bob. Cramer is a former mill dog, in his puppy days, he was fostered by me and adopted out to a family who had him for 3 years and divorce brought him back to my home. Cramer is the name I gave him, Bob is what they called him. Now, Bob is his middle name. :)

Cramer is super social, very happy, extremely funny, sensitive, and overall just about a perfect little dog. He loves to have other dogs to play with (his best friend is a Great Dane he bosses around), and tries to play with everyone who allows it. His current nemesis is an old female St. Bernard. He loves to chase the kitty in play as well. He is a little snippy when other dogs get in his face (mostly because my dogs are much larger and rude!) but he has never bitten!! He just tries to tell them to back off and give him a little space. We try to correct him, but well, he is who he is...

Cramer is fully crate trained and as long as you give him a cookie he goes in with no complaints, in fact he will run to beat me there. BUT - in his last home he was never crated, so he really doesn't require one at all. He is currently baby gated into his own bedroom while I am at work. He’s a good little man in the house, as long as no tissues are left out. He thoroughly enjoys shredding them. He may move socks around randomly as well, but has yet to actually chew one.

Cramer loves to take walks, but is also a little stubborn. Give him a little tug and he catches right up. We live very rural and if hes having a good day I can let him be off leash with the other dogs, but NEVER should he be allowed off leash anywhere near traffic or distractions. He doesn’t run away, but will definitely not "come" when called, and enjoys playing keep away, which could get dangerous quickly. He is a master at the "backyard zoomies" so he would greatly benefit from a secure fenced yard.

He is a total lap dog for sure. He only lies on the dog beds if he’s hot or chewing on a bone. Otherwise he wants to be on a lap. Even in bed, he is a good little snuggler - and for a little dog, quite the bed hog!

Cramer loves all people, big, small, males and females. He likes kids, with one exception, he does not like little ones, say 4 and under. They are too quick, loud and scary. If very well supervised he likes the attention of little kids, but they shouldn't be allowed to try to pick him up, etc. But older kids are no problem at all. He is a very social dog. He does still do the Puppy Play biting, never ever hard, but he does do it, mostly at my ankles at dinner time. He loves his meals! Sometimes he jumps up to get attention and kind of mouths my hand. I’m a big sucker for his adorable antics.

Cramer is a very funny little dog - who does require a lot of grooming, no haircuts, but lots and lots of brushing. He pretends to put up quite the wriggly fight, but persistence and patience wins out every time.
