Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Jackson (Jax for short) is a pure bred Chesapeake Bay Retriever that was 4 years old in April 2015.
As true to his breed, Jax absolutely loves water and has been taught to dock-dive. Recently he has also been learning to dive under water while swimming. He loves the lake and has stayed out on the boat with people for extended periods of time.
Jax loves to play fetch and can consistently catch balls on the fly thrown from a ball launcher. Jax travels well and loves going for car rides. He also enjoys camping and hiking and has been agility trained in an effort to make hiking more enjoyable and less challenging.
Jax has been trained in all the basic commands and is very willing to please. Jax has been crate-trained since he was a puppy and also does well staying at pet hotels and doggie day-care.
Jax has been fed grain-free dog food since he was a puppy. He has consistently been on a monthly heartworm preventative and has been seen by the same vet since he was a puppy. He is neutered and is current on all his vaccines. Jax can be somewhat vocal at times and has been de-barked.
Jax is being rehomed due to a change in his family situation. He has been cared for very well and very much loved. We are looking for a home that will love him just as much and care for him as well as his original owner has.
We would prefer an adopter that has experience with his breed. A swimming pool is almost a must so he can keep in shape by swimming.
If you are interested in meeting Jax, please contact Robin at 602-501-1844 or email britrescueaz@cox.net. Jax's adoption fee will be $300.
