My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Elgar is an 8-yr old, 8 lb guy who looked like a dirty mop when he was rescued from a high kill city shelter. He is still quite lively and energetic and doesn't act his age.

His owners just decided they no longer wanted him, we think it was because he was in desperate need of dental work. His teeth have been taken care of, he had 14 teeth pulled! He seems to feel much better now as he has a bounce to his step.

He walks beautifully on leash, is housebroken and has all the makings of being a wonderful lapdog. He definitely has the yorkshire terrier character as he can be tenacious and demanding when he wants something.

He gets along great with other dogs and cats as well. We do think he could lose a little weight so lots of walks should be in his future forever home!
