More information on Amelia:
Amelia was picked up as a stray in Detroit ( Detroiters Helping Each Other contacted us and asked for our help - although we are over flowing and super low on funds we could not ignore her) ... Very pregnant and obviously not cared for - we immediately took her to our vet (Dr. Mobile Vet Clinic with Dr. John Hermann D.V.M) and as it turns out she is heart worm positive ... we are very sad for her but we are going to get her though, get her healthy and her pups too.

Amelia was rushed to our Emergency Vet in Ann Arbor while in labor .... Three puppies were stuck and we had to get her some extra help. She made it through just fine and all the puppies are happy and healthy.

After Amelia's first veterinary visit she had to be taken back to the emergency vet as she had a temperature that ended up being a slight infection. Puppies are now doing great and so is Amelia she gave us a bit of a scare but is now on her way to being a happy healthy dog. She is a volunteer favorite. Her personality is just the sweetest and she has taken every change in her life without any problems. This is her first litter and her last. We cant wait to help her find her happily ever after.
