Rooney about 6 years old, American Bulldog mix, about 90 pounds, altered male

If you were a comic-strip artist and wanted to draw a junk-yard dog, you might ask Rooney to pose for you. This guy has been around the block and he has the wrinkles and scars to prove it. He has the face of a true character and it matches his personality 100%! Looking at him now, you wouldn't believe he came to us as a walking skeleton...but once we figured out why and put him on the proper medication (common, inexpensive and easily found), he filled out (now up to 90 pounds and still climbing), his coat has come back soft and full, a beautiful white scattered with small black dots, and he can now focus on being the happy-go-lucky guy he wants to be instead of just being HUNGRY...He is big and strong and still learning manners, but he will make you laugh with his kooky face and his bear-trap grin. He 's still coming back into his own, so there is more dog than meets the eye right now, but we are all binge-watching him now, waiting for his next episode to air. Not for a first timer or for a house full of other dogs or pets...he is a one-of-a-kind kind of guy.
