Facts about Chip

  • Breed: Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Miniature Pinscher Mix
  • Color: Black
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Male
Please meet Chip! Chip is an adorable male Terrier mix. Chip is vetted, neutered and vaccinated, with all records transferred to his new owner. He weighs approx. 15 pounds fully grown and he is approx. 1-2 years old. Chip has the personality of a true charmer! This little prince is happy-go-lucky, curious, and smart as a whip! His intelligence and love for learning is impressive. Chip is sometimes spunky and vivacious, and his adorable antics will bring a smile to anyone's face! He bounces around and dances with happiness! Chip loves being active outdoors, and he would probably make a great agility dog for anyone who is interested in that. If agility is not your thing, no problem! Chip would make a wonderful companion to just about anyone! He'd be great for walking with you, fetching a toy, or just hanging out. Chip is very loyal and will follow his family to the ends of the earth, tail wagging the whole time! He is over the moon for gentle back rubs and doggie treats. Chip lights up with happiness when you talk to him, take him for a walk or just give him some love. He is very social, friendly, and loves attention. And you couldn't even imagine a more perfect lapdog! Chip wins the award for most personality in such a little pup! He would make a wonderful family dog. Chip seems to be friendly with other small friendly dogs, but he is a little apprehensive around cats, particularly if they show aggression towards him. Chip came into rescue too skinny, and he needs to gain some weight to be healthier. He is working on gaining weight, but will probably need to be fed a little bit extra at first, and then less after he reaches an ideal weight, determined by the vet. Chip also came into rescue with a cropped tail, but that doesn't stop it from wagging a mile a minute! Just like with any dog in a new home environment, Chip will need some training from his future family and an adjustment period, but he will probably catch on quickly. About For Pete's Sake Rescue - Maryland

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a registered non-profit animal rescue group with our 501(c)(3) status. We are a group of dedicated volunteers whose goal is to reduce euthanasia of adoptable animals in kill shelters by placing them into loving adoptive homes. We vaccinate and spay/neuter our animals before adoption in order to save lives. We rescue animals from high-kill animal shelters in southern states because there are no spay/neuter laws in southern states, which leads to over-population of animals and euthanasia in shelters. We transport our rescued animals to forever homes in other states, usually northern states, because northern states have spay/neuter laws in place, which often leads to a higher demand for adoptable pets. We will transport near or far! This gives our rescues more opportunities to find loving homes! Please inquire for more details. We rely on donations to help rescue animals. Every dollar raised goes directly to animal rescue and provides care, medical/preventative services and an opportunity for an animal to have a chance at a new and wonderful life! Our Adoption Process...

We welcome all adopters, all experience of ownership levels, all ages above 21 years old for primary adopters, but most of all....everyone who has love to give and a home to share! There is a required adoption application so that we can make sure each adoption is a good match for both the humans and the dog. Upon adoption approval, there is a contract to sign stating no abuse will come to the animal. The adoption fee covers the pet's animal shelter release fee, vet check, spay or neuter, age-appropriate shots, heartworm test if age appropriate, parasite prevention if age-appropriate, vet records, leash and collar, plus additional fee for transport. We transport our rescue animals to their new homes in other states, regardless of location. This gives our rescues more opportunities to find loving homes! The adoption fee slightly varies depending on vet needs for each individual animal, and the transport fee depends on location. Please inquire for addition details.
