Mandy's Story...
Mandy is one of the sweetest dogs we have! We are thinking she is a Lab/Boxer/Pitbull mix. . She is about 9 months old and came to us with her 5 other sisters. Her sisters have found homes, but she has been waiting patiently for almost 4 months to get her chance at happily ever after. She loves people, kids, other dogs, and we are thinking she will probably do well with cats too as long as she has time to learn what they are. She is already spayed! If you are interested in Mandy, please call the Whitmore Animal Shelter at 760-935-4734 or email epelichowski@mono.ca.gov.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mandy, a Bridgeport Labrador Retriever/Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Boxer for sale in Bridgeport, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Boxer dog from a breeder in Bridgeport.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bridgeport already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bridgeport breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Boxer breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bridgeport paves the way for another one to be saved.
