Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This sweet girl is a young mom and has just finished weaning her 6 puppies. Gemma is 3 yrs. old and weighs 17 lbs. She is a black and red spaniel mix. Gemma was very skinny when she first came to rescue and is now about average weight. She is very protective of her babies and takes a minute to warm up to strangers who might want to hurt her or her family. Gemma is fun loving, sweet as pie, and loves her walks. She is good on the leash, almost housetrained – not 100% - but close. She loves running around, adores belly rubs and just hanging out and playing. She is good with kids so long as he babies are not around, then she goes into super protective mommy mode. She is fine with dogs outside the house and she may be ok with dogs inside the house. Hard to tell with her puppies still around. Right now she is guarding them. This lovely girl has an adorable mix of puppy and supermom energy. She is now looking for her forever home and would make a wonderful companion.
