Max came to MAGRR originally as a stray in Tennessee. He spent 3 weeks in one of their foster homes with no issues. He was adopted to the Northeast where he began to have some reactions to people, on occasion. MAGRR sent him to Gagnon Training Center in Colchester, CT, where he was evaluated and found to be only reactionary when someone touched his backside. He has been through extensive training at Gagnon. MAGRR also sent him for x-rays and it was discovered that he does have some hip dysplasia and possibly a couple of compressed vertebrae. Surgery is not indicated but only controlling with medication, so the behaviorists at Gagnon believe that he is ready for his forever home. He is extremely loving and a wonderful boy, but Max needs a home that will understand his sensitivity in that area. He is incredibly loving and just truly wants attention and is pretty much a couch potato, acting older than the 3 years of his guessed age. Max gets along fine with other dogs, but does not require a canine companion. No children under 12.
